Adapter in question: Newegg.com - OKGEAR AD-Y-44-0.2M 8" SATA 15pin male to three 4pin molex female cable Adapter
I have 2 SATA power connectors on my PSU that I have no use for, and a bunch of components that require Molex.
Is it safe to split 1 SATA to 3 Molex? Or am I better off with one of the 1-to-2 or 1-to-1 options?
Components that need the juice are HDD, ODD, front panel lights/temp gauge.
I can move things around though so that 2x fans and one of the above are on the adapter if thats better.
Output on the PSU is +3.3V@17A, +5V@25A, +12V1@14A,+12V2@14A,-5V@1.0A, -12V@1.0A, +5VSB@3.0A
(yeah its junk, but plan on selling this setup and trying to keep costs down, so not replacing)
