BF2 Problem

My Battlefield 2 game has been closing abruptly lately. I will connect to an online server and the game will load. Once in game before the weapons screen comes up my game goes black and returns to the desktop. Why's happening? Is this have to do with the dual core or the GPU or something? My GPU fan seems to get pretty loud like its under stress so maybe I should upgrade video cards. I don't know. PLEASE HELP!

Reinstall the game and all the patches. What you have listed in your sig should certainly have no problems running BF2. I get the occasional crash to desktop as many other gamers do when playing BF2. Your video card ATI Diamond Viper x800 GTO i'm not too sure about that card. I do know the fans are not that great on them and can overheat pretty bad if you attempt to Overclock,but not being able to run BF2.....i don't think so. I know reinstalling the game is a pain but it might work. Good luck
