External Hard Drive(Question)

Don't. You are running XP, I presume, Just plug in the drive usb and format NTFS. That's it! simple!

Yeah but I heard that it'll run better and faster.I do not plan on formating because it is way too much work.But I am wondering why,and ect....

If you don't plan On formating it then how are you to use it? :eek:

It's the boot HD he is talking about, not the USB. Is the Master IDE or primary SATA drive formated FAT 32? If it is do this:

Go to Run>type CMD
type in the command prompt: convert C: /fs: NTFS. That will convert your FAT 32 to NTFS and you will not lose any data.
