everytime i turn this comp on abunch of stuff pops up like
msn,myspace,alurias security center sum nintendo thing is there a place on my omp to delete everythin off.....so i start up clean
 
Start>Run>msconfig. Go to the startup tab, and it shows you a list of all the programs that load when your computer starts up. Simply uncheck the ones you do not want
 
try getting a utility called: Tuneup Utilities 2006
lots a good stuff on it just download it off a torrent or somthin
 
You can download MSConfig for Win2k. I'm not sure where, but you can try looking at microsoft's site or download.com or the likes. If you find it, do what Shando said.

You can also go into each program and see if there is an option to not have it run on startup.
 
You could always go into Documents and Settings\All Users*\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and remove anything there.

*Also go into each user account.
 
startup items can be found in the registry:
start -> run "regedit32"

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run
