If I create a triple boot system with 2 Linuxes on it, can I use the same swap partition for both Linuxes, or do they need one each?

Thanks in advance.

yes you can I do believe, you can use anything as a swap file in linux, you can even not have a swap parttion and setup a swapfile instead

As long as you make a general Linux swap partition, both Linuxes will be able to use it. The operating system doesn't care what is on the swap partition when you boot it up, it just uses it when you need extra "memory" space.

Ah right thanks. I have set up a general swap partition, so I'll have a go with it.
