most wireless routers are designed to support up to 200+ clients, so blame local lag on computers, bad wires. slow internet games can be blamed slow ass servers. a good gaming connection should have at least a 1:10 ratio of upload to download.

linux should take up about 500 mb tops if you install it bare but with all the necessary libraries, full blown would be 1.5 gb, with double your ram as swap space. So assuming you have 256 MB of ram, then a full blown linux installation with swap space is 1.5 GB +512 MB which would be 2 GB...

microsoft is the #1 corporation in the world. I doubt thats going to change in our lifetimes. It will find some way to overcome any threat to its OS. Unless people change their preferences entirely, or windows jumps in price ridiculously, windows will still reign. Go linux!

you can connect to UU net's ftp servers. I dont know what kind of speed you will get your way major, but USA folks can get speeds up to 5 mb/s down. ftp.nl.uu.net port:21 fedora ISO's located in /pub2/fedora/3/i386/iso/
