It can be a switch if you turn off dhcp routing, but I don't think you want that... It sounds like you still want multiple local IPs from the device, so it will be a non-wireless router still.
You should enable RIP settings in both routers, disable AP mode, and get the routers talking to each...
Best attempt at a network map lol

Theoretical problem is, if asus router fails, all internet fails. Is there a way to avoid that bottleneck?
It feels like there should be a way to put...
I'm playing around with rediculous redundancy in my home network.
I have 2 independent WAN connections going to a Cisco router (failover/failback is set up). From that, it goes to an Asus router.
From that Cisco router, I want two wireless routers set up so that if one wireless router...
I've been thinking of making a class to handle this kind of problem... basically making an object that is an array of numbers valued between 0 and 9 to represent each decimal place.
So when it comes time to add 52142 + (super-large number), you loop through doing something like
int num =...
Most definitely not, but I thought about that... I do have a touch screen but it has been responding so slowly it literally takes 3-4 seconds to end a call, and another 2-3 to start a call (and the ringing began immediately after I told the guy the dispatch address). I also confirmed that he...
So I called my buddy to let him know I'm calling a cab for him - I call the local phone number for Yellow Cabs and an operator answers asking me what the dispatch address is. I tell him and the phone begins ringing immediately, at which point my friend answers... I look at my phone and it now...
Been a while since I've loomed around these parts, but I thought it was worth sharing my unbelievable experience with Dell's Laptops. I'm not about to go buy a desktop of theirs (or any other company for that matter...), but the 14" inspiron i5 (with 6gb mem) I got for $650 outperforms or...
Touche haha.
I've updated the setup a little bit - hows this motherboard compare to the Asus one?
Gigabyte: Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Asus: Newegg.com - ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel...
I've lost the CD and its nowhere to be seen.
Anyone have it / can find it?
edit: this is to make my monitor (hardware) work (didn't know which section to post under)
The patriot memory runs with timings 7-7-7-20 on the Asus board according to the manual, does the difference in speed really make that much of a difference? The board doesn't run ddr3 1600 (only OC'd), so would this even matter?
I was thinking Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme 1366 RT Rev. B CPU...
I also need the PCI x1 port open :-\
But this one would work - Newegg.com - ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards any comments?
I noticed the port layout is different than my current motherboard / case's motherboard port plate thingy - is there a place...

can an oversized card fit in this board at the bottom? I'm testing it right now with my older mobo that has a regular PCI plug at the bottom and it seems like it may be possible...
