    Firefox Minefield Alpha

Download - Mozilla x86-64 I have a 64 bit machine so I figured that I would give 64 bit firefox a shot, aka Minefield which Osiris has pointed out. I haven't noticed a speed increase, granted the 64 bit version is 3.0pre and not the 3.1 .

    PC memory upgrade question

In that machine, you will probably not see the difference. I suggest you save the $5.

    Helps please? (:

On that first picture that you have posted, you clearly do NOT have the 12v plugged in to the CPU. I don't know if you did it for the picture so that we could see what was going on, or if you don't have that 12v plug at all. I do not remember seeing at 12v 4pin connector on that power...

    performance

Do those games even support dual core processing? If they do there should be almost no problems with computing the whereabouts of your objects. Like you said it only uses the one core. Therefore that is more than likely your bottleneck. Soon enough games with start support dual core processing...

    nic add in cards

It doesn't really reduce any of the lag that you are getting, that is all based upon what the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is providing for you by the way of bandwidth. In reality this card can't reduce you lag, but it may be able to reduce some of the hardware latency inside of your machine...

    Graphic card problem

It seems like windows just doesn't like the card that you have, it is possible that there is a hardware fault on the card, and when windows tries to initialize it, it hangs. I would suggest that you take it back and get another card and see if you have any luck with that.

PC Freezing - Need Advice (I'm a former PC Tech too...LOL)

Sounds like a hardware issue to me, just make sure that you have all of the chipset updates. It is possible that is your processor crapping out on you, intense amounts of data processing/number crunching could cause the freezing that you mention. If you can get your hands on a hardware testing...

Choppy Sound, Audio Card Mystery - Months Wasted

    Dgl-4300

sounds like to me that your chipset may be the problem, seeing as how your on-board LAN isn't even working. Maybe try another PCI card if you haven't already done so.

    Dgl-4300

I think that you should check and see if you have the newest drivers for your chipset, and if not, just install them and see if that works for you.

PSU - Do I need a new one?

I think that you should be find with that power supply, but it is getting pretty old, it and it might crap out on you so be prepared to get a new one. When you do end up purchasing a new one, get at least a 400W and you should be set for a while with that configuration.
