Everything is stock with stock windows. The RAM is only in single channel mode right now..that needs to be changed. I seem to be getting poor frame rates in lots of games. Including the Age of Empires III demo. My frame rate drops down to 45 quite a lot. I wonder what the problem is...

I sometimes get over 200fps and sometimes it drops to 40. For example if i'm turning quickly into a new area with lots happening explosions going off etc. I would say that the game is usually around 60-100 fps walking and 40-70 turning and fighting lots of people. Is that normal?

I live in England..don't need much cooling. Also I have a 120mm and 80mm case fan. I noticed today that in everest my GPU reads 468/1200 instead of the 430/1200 it is supposed to, I have not overclocked it at all. Is this normal? P.S They are fitting a new PSU and sorting out the RAM in two...

My GPU is 35C-40C idle. And my CPU is 22C-27C idle. I think my temps are pretty nice :). i'm just worried about the PSU melting itself..

Yeah.. My PC is running pretty cool..the 7800GTX runs very hot idle. Some people have it at abouy 50 idle. It's just odd that it works if I boot up my system twice... Maybe because all the items get hot on bootup..I don't know. P.S Can you do what I asked in my last post decieved. Thanks!

...It doesn't. However my temps are really low, even when it doesn't turn on: All these have been checked in the BIOS. P.S Decieved can you boot up your computer (see if the fan is working). Shut it down (Wait for the fan to stop). Boot it up again... Then tell me the results? Thanks

But won't the PSU overheat?

I'm still worried abou tis PSU..to get the fan going I have to run it on..turn it off then turn it on again..it just doesn't seem right. The strange thing is when it's not on it seems to put more power into my 120mm fan.
