how far? Its different for every cpu. How do you do it? Go to your BIOS, raise the HTT speed. And raise volts if it is unstable.

its easy to mod to get the 8 pin. Take two ground wires and stick them in the empty holes on the video card. The extra wires in the 8 pin connector are just ground wires. They dont' give more power to the card. And the card works with 2 x 6pin. You just can't use overdrive.
