HDMI to Sony 40 inch drops constantly

Sigh, alright, I have the audio portion solved, I ended up getting the earliest 11 series drivers for that. But... the HDMI audio WAS working when the previous drivers were working, but I assumed (something you shouldn't do in the tech world) that once I got the video portion working again...

HDMI to Sony 40 inch drops constantly

Okay, I had this setup working flawlessly for what seems like forever, until recently. It runs like this: DVI to my main monitor, an Acer 24 inch, and my HDMI to my 40 inch Sony Bravia (using Duplicate display option). Now the Sony Bravia keeps going blank although the computer can still...

640 Gig HD not showing up/disapearing

Never had a failed cable until today, I used my DVD burner's sata cable since I couldn't find a spare in my parts box and it transfers between drives again and it's harddrive icon does not dissapear. Funny how we overlook the most tiny things. Thank you

640 Gig HD not showing up/disapearing

Sata as stated in my original post, and it's using windows favorite file system NTFS. Also this drive is roughly a year old, never had a problem formatting it, and it's ran great up until now.

640 Gig HD not showing up/disapearing

When I boot up, all my harddrives show up, my 160 gig that my OS is on, my 320 for music and data files and my fairly new 640 gig for larger video files. The issue is with my 640 gig Western Digital drive, I can browse it, stream from it, move files around within it, but when I try to move...

    video glitching

Sorry for digging up an old post, but I have one question and also found the cause of the issue. The issue was caused by a capacitor that was busted one on of it's terminals, wasn't noticable at first but I just happened to have it out laying around today so I took a real close look. My...

    video glitching

It's too old to still be in warranty, I dug out a spare mobo that has a PCI-E and it wouldn't boot at all with the video card installed. So right now i'm using the old mobo because of it's onboard video. So now it's down to asking everyone for suggestions on what card to replace a 8600GT for...

    video glitching

can't get to safe mode, it's new install or nothing. thing is that i am using the same windows 7 install disc as i have in the past in the exact config and it's worked perfect those times, so it's likely not a driver conflict.

    video glitching

Started out as a completely different issue, I updated Windows 7 and upon reboot after the update, my BIOS kept stalling at locating drives. Since I couldn't even get into the BIOS, I decided it was time for a complete physical teardown and reinstall. After imaculate cleaning and tossing the...

    Afk Freezing probelm

My first guess would be that your computer doesn't like your screensaver if you have one enabled that is. I would change your screensaver to none if it's an LCD, and if it's a CRT I would set the power option to turn it off instead of using a screensaver.

Canon A590 as a drive letter?

For recovery purposes, I need my Canon A590 IS to show up as a drive letter as opposed to showing up as "Canon A590" in My Computer. Why I cannot use a card reader is the fact that I already have two, and neither are SDHC compatable (internal and usb), and I really can't buy a third just for...

    Several BSODs

Just wanted to say problem solved. It's either the memory or the memory slot, I have one stick in right now, I played some WoW on high settings for a few hours last night and then overnight I had my PC do some pretty heavy video and audio encoding, I also used media player while encoding and it...

    Several BSODs

The Mobo is basically brand new and I made that purchase based on reliability of gigabyte's solid capacitor design and the chipset used. The video card and PSU are still "fairly" new. Since this is happening more often with video type programs than not, I'm leaning towards GPU. How on earth...

    Several BSODs

Argh, yes, argh. I wrote zeros to the previous C: drive, which was the IDE drive then I took it out of my system completely. XP Pro is now on my 160 sata drive fully formatted and the second I brought up Magic Video Converter, poof, instant BSOD. Now if memtest keeps giving me passes, how am...

    Several BSODs

Would the BSOD's pertain only to my C:\ drive or will checkdisk check all my drives automatically anyway, I have 4 drives and one is huge.
