hey whats the best software for burning copyrighted dvds? I think i used to use alcohol butnot sure whats good now a days.. I can get pretty much and software ready and full version.. Any advice? thanks.
if it shuts down the same way in safe mode i would recommend taking the cpu off the mobo, taking the ram off as well.. making sure all screws are on straight re seating the cpu (and grease) and then re seating the ram.. NONE if this will matter if you have a windows problem though..

yeah dual core isn't necissarily better for gaming yet. operating systems and games aren't all the way dual threaded so your actually robbing performance from your self. Until Vista is a main stable and all games are made dual threaded single core CPU's will still be best for gaming.

sounds like your problem is with gamespy.. not sure with halo but with most online games you can join via the main menu.. I usually like to do this because there is no other software stealing performance.

yeah realplayer sucks... I've never found anything that windows media player couldn't play.. and if its a DVD I use VLC which is free and easy to use anyway.
