Yea i just figured that out, sry. The first DVD i tried to burn my comp just locked up then i went inside the comp and tried some stuff and finally just realized my other DVD±RW drive is the same way. My mistake.

wow i totally didnt mean to put that. I was goin to say not a counterfieted copy then just put windows. Sry about the misunderstandin. It is a genuine windows copy and is a real windows copy.

what do u mean non-legit systems. Hes got a dell inspiron 6000 notebook and a copy he got of windows home edition (which i think came with the notebook.)

So my friend just got a laptop off another one of his friends but it had everything installed on it still. So he wiped the hd and installed a fresh copy of windows. The windows was only SP1 and is a real copy of windows. For some reason when he installs service pack 2, the installation freezes...

Alright i figured out wut the problem was........ my CPU is fried. I take the CPU out and the problem goes away. Cept i dont have any s939 CPU and newegg doesnt have any new. I'm thinkin (if i can find the money) to buy a OEM 4400+ for $200. I have a scythe ninja so not like i need a heatsink...
