Merry X-mas everyone!!!
I have had an HP laptop, which I use to play various audio through my home audio system w/ a stereo-RCA adapter cable.
Upon initial plug-in, we were getting lots of audio feedback, which wasn't too apparent as to why. I figured, under voltage through the RCA's...

I have a Belkin Pre-N card in my laptop's PCMCIA slot, and an internal 802.11G card. My workshop is about 175-200ft from my Pre-N router, and I'd like to be able to have a strong 802.11G signal going to my Xbox so I can play Xbox Live in my workshop (802.11G is what the Xbox router operates on)...
Well, I've came very close multiple times to buying a new HP Hx4705 PDA, but I've managed to keep holding off as so many new devices keep hitting the market. I'd really appreciate help on this topic...
To start, high screen resolution is what I want, which the HP has. I'm not too familiar with...
I currently use a Belkin Pre-N router and network through it with my laptop and Pre-N card. When I was only using the internet, I left it unsecured. Then I decided to go WEP 128bit when I wanted to start a network between my two computers. This is when the problems began.

Good job on the Pre-N router purchase. You definitely won't regret it. As for Mac compatability, I honestly know nothing about Macs to accurately comment on that subject.
Hopefully someone will join in here, but I know you couldn't network the two computers from the one...
I was glad to see this question asked, as I was thinking this to myself a little over a month ago...
I recently did some research on the current "best" wireless setups (802.11 devices), and stumbled across a review which compared some of the newest wireless devices. They conducted bandwidth...
PCMCIA, thankyou!
I knew I had heard of that acronym used somewhere before for a device, I never really knew what it truely was though.
I also already found an adapter I would need, although I'd have to carry a larger battery with the PDA as the PCMCIA card uses a bit more power.
Hopefully...
I currently use a Belkin Pre-N wireless laptop card in my Hp ZX5000's side slot, which is also the slot my Sony GC-83 3-G card uses. I was always under the assumption that I was using a compact flash slot/device, until the other day that is...
When my buddy purchased a new Hp desktop with all...
At my college, there are a few firewall restrictions on file downloads...but I have found that some files/programs will indeed download and install if done correctly.
I haven't quite got it figured out (how their firewall is setup that is, or for that matter their network security properties)...
So the most powerful card currently is an Nvidia 6800gt? That is only 256mb correct? Should I wait until someone releases a 512mb card? How long might it be before we see one? I just want to have the most up-to-date card when I purchase in one month.
