Ok thanks. I can try that. But the download file IS complete. I know that as a fact. Because I have the install file on disk and used the same disk to install the file before. Anyway, I'll try it out and see what the results are.

Personally, I think JBuilder is the best. Its a great approach to Java programming. Makes life simpler.

Just as an editor, JEdit is pretty good. Check the above sites, you may find somrthing you preffer. Personally I use JBuilder. Which isn't just a text editor but it makes programming Java a whole lot easier. Lessens time for me. Try it out.

I've had the same proble before. It does sometimes happen when you haven't correctly set everything up. Ensure you have your enviroment variables pointing to the right folder. Thats one thing which could make a difference?
