There's probably just an authentication problem *what ID are you connecting with? *have you checked the services? *are the computers on the same exact workgroup?

You probably have lost usb on that MB. If you can get your hands on one, replace it (this happened to me as well, just about 2 months ago)

try removing the HDD, put it in an external enclosure, hook it up to another windows computer granted you didn't protect any of the files, you should be able to mess with any of the files you want
