Wow. that is really rude thing to say as an moderator.
Telling OP to ignore the post. Very selfish and childish.
Anyway, I'll still suggest OP to stick to better OC site than this.
But I wouldn't say to OP that he should ignore anyone's post.
Every opinion helps and in TF, OC isn't so big since...
For SB OC you should better look at thread like this one.
OCN Sandy Stable Club
Read the first page carefully. Also there are charts you can compare your settings with others.
I would never suggest anybody using software OS side OC.
You are the only one who can find what the best settings for...
Thanks. It was a suicide run anyway...
Just got this 1M run and CPU-Z validation and outta there...
Took me while to make x55 work, though.
Also that was with stock 1600 ram. I might try it again with 1866.
6.860s | boomstick666 | i5 2500K @ 5.5GHz
Sorry I forgot to put TF name again... but as you can see from my previous post, it's me.
5.508GHz @ 1.64v load.
OK. there are same kind of threads over at overclock.net and xtremesystems.
It's just a good way to compare your score with similar or other systems.
I guess they have no problem getting everyone's scores, though.
Also this one need some kind of fair rule that everyone can follow.
Especially...
Is this LinX without AVX?
Otherwise we all should see 100+GFlops...
There is not much reason to run IBT/LinX without AVX now days...
I'll post mine later but w/AVX so it'll be around 130GFlops for me @ 4.8Ghz 1866 Ram.
Update:
133.0045 GFlops | boomstick666 | i5 2500k @ 4.8GHz
with 1866...
P7,070 | boomstick666 | i5 2500k @ 5.0GHz | GTX 570HD @ 930/1860/1950 | W7 x64 | ORB
Got up to 930/1950. But that's about it...
Sorry I forgot to put TF name... but as you can see from the previous screenshots, they are the same.
Thanks. Not much difference from 4.6GHz, though. About 80~100 gain.
My GPU has just a stock fan but I'm putting 127CFM 120mm Panaflo blowing on to the back side of GPU.
So all the hot air goes out to the back. (Since this isn't a reference design, the fan is at the middle)
Also made GPU fan...
I do. Professionally. So I use Mac and ProTools.
Someone from the other forum asking kind of the same thing so you may want to look at my post here.
I do not see the most important gear for home recording... the audio interface.
Do you already have one?
