    Summer Gas Prices

I am glad the price of gas has gone up, I hope it goes up higher. Its the only way to get people to stop driving pickup trucks to work and buy those stupid SUVs. The only thing that will force people to look for ways to reduce their need for gas and oil is high prices. Only high prices will...

    Intermittent Motherboard -- Bad Capacitor?

I don't know how you would go about identifying them. But if you didn't void your warranty by opening up the laptop, and you still had one, I would image this would be covered. Nothing would have caused them to go, but age and the possibility that you got one of the bad ones.

Video card fan won't slow down!

You could try using RivaTuner. It works with both ATI and nVIDIA. It has options to control the speed of the fan on 2D apps, 3D low and high power apps. If this doesnt fix the problem, you could try an aftermarket cooler. I ordered the Thermalright HR 03 for my 7900gt because the fan was the...

Do you have a motherboard with a nvidia chipset? It could be possible that these drivers are causing a problem with the ATI card. Its unlikely, but a possibility. Also you said that this new ATI card blew your previous power supply. It might have damaged something else in your computer, like...
